Chi Zhang

I moved to the United States from China in 2013. My journey on the opposite side of the world has amazing and developmentally astounding. As is common in asian culture, my family placed me under pressure to dedicate my learning to become a scientist, or position myself in the business world. Deep down I always knew, however, that my heart truly belonged to art and design. The best decision I ever made was to break away from the path that was laid before me, and to pursue my dream of creating meaningful art. I then graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2020, with an undergraduate degree in Studio Art.

Soon after graduation, I started to learn more about design via online platforms. I enjoy solving problems and putting things together like puzzle pieces in the process of user experience design. Knowing that my work can, and does have an impact has also made me a more confident person. I strive to expand and adapt my thoughts, skillsets, and processes to cater to the changing problems and needs in the world around us. I would also love to be a part of an ambitious team that is craving a better human experience for us all.
